A large pot by José López Aragón of San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca, covered in rows of round, polished beads of clay. Thin bands of small incised dots run between the rows, and a ruffled lip opens at the top.

Modeled by hand in natural clay, burnished and fired at low temperature in a traditional kiln, it has a deep black color and a soft shine.
