A monochromed ceramic sculpture by Esteban Dalí (b. 1989) of Oaxaca City — a figure in meditation, its surface uniform and calm, stripped of color so that form alone carries the meaning. Dalí's ceramic practice sits apart from the village workshop traditions of Oaxaca; he brings to clay the sensibility of a painter and sculptor who works in multiple media and is always looking for the point where they overlap. Height: 7.8 × 7.8 in / 20 × 20 cm.
