This sgraffito clay bowl, hand-modeled on a potter's wheel and fired in a traditional kiln, reveals on its surface a series of incisions that let the clay peek out from under a layer of mineral glazes in deep, earthy tones; each stroke, intentionally marked before firing, creates a vibrant texture that interacts with the light and transforms the piece into an object with its own character, fully usable and part of the new models of the Mixtec region, where artisanal mastery is projected towards a contemporary aesthetic without losing its roots.
