A set of three plates handcrafted by Elia Mateo of Taller Mujeres del Barro Rojo in San Marcos Tlapazola, Oaxaca, a community recognized for its enduring tradition of red clay pottery. Designed by Rombo, the set brings together three complementary forms. Each piece is shaped from natural clay and finished with a red slip (engobe), creating a warm, earthy surface that highlights the simplicity and strength of the material.
Fired in a traditional kiln, the plates preserve the tactile qualities of the handmade process, with subtle variations that distinguish each piece. The rich red engobe emphasizes the clean silhouettes while connecting the contemporary design to the characteristic claywork of Oaxaca's Central Valleys.
An exclusive Rombo design that brings together functionality, craftsmanship, and the distinctive visual identity of red clay.
