A tall vase by the Mujeres del Barro Rojo of San Marcos Tlapazola. Its rounded body is fluted with vertical grooves, and a long, slender neck rises to a flared mouth marked by a raised ring.

It stands on small round feet. Coated in red slip, burnished by hand and fired in a traditional kiln, the clay has a warm, even sheen.
