AVAILABLE
A red clay vase by the women of Taller Mujeres del Barro Rojo in Tlapasola, Oaxaca — their village in the Central Valleys where red clay pottery has been made by hand for generations. This first piece in the spiral series has a taller, more slender profile: the spiral relief at the base winds upward with particular delicacy, evoking the movement of water or wind caught in a moment of perfect form. Finished with mineral engobes in warm, earthy tones and fired in a traditional kiln, it carries the quiet authority of work made slowly and with care.
