A small cántaro hand-built by Silvia Martínez Díaz in Santa María Tlahuitoltepec, in Oaxaca's Sierra Mixe. The body is shaped as two stacked rounds, like a gourd, with a narrow mouth and two loop handles where they meet.

The lower body swells into soft, irregular bumps that give the jug its name. Burnished with river stone and bull horn and fired in the open air, the warm clay keeps the dark marks left by the fire.
