A pineapple built in three parts by the Mujeres del Barro Rojo of San Marcos Tlapazola. A crown-shaped ring forms the base, the teardrop body covered in raised dots sits inside it, and a separate top of pointed leaves completes the fruit.
Shaped by hand in natural clay, coated in red slip and fired in a traditional kiln, each part keeps the soft sheen and fine marks of hand burnishing.
