Diego Salazar
An architect and artist, and co-founder and executive director of Studio Rombo. Born in Mexico City in 1993, Diego Salazar, known as an artist as Rombo, grew up in Cancún, Quintana Roo. His grandmother Rosa was the first to notice his gift for drawing, and so began a long career devoted to art and architecture.
In 2005, at age 12, he moved with his parents and two siblings to Florida in search of greater opportunities, a huge cultural, financial and emotional challenge for the Salazar family. With the help of great teachers in the Palm Beach County public schools, he kept going as an artist and soon enrolled at the A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, where he grew and refined his skills.
After three years as an architecture and furniture designer for Robert Couturier, Poonam Khanna and Roman and Williams, he took a leap of faith and started Studio Rombo with his brother Alberto.
