Marcos Lucero

(Oaxaca, 1987). A visual artist whose work stands out for a deep sensitivity to the mystical, the symbolic and the imaginary. He lives in Teotitlán del Valle, a community near Oaxaca City, where his practice is tied both to his cultural roots and to a constant poetic introspection.

He trained at the UABJO School of Fine Arts and the Rufino Tamayo Visual Arts Workshop, and continued in painting and printmaking workshops. He works in acrylic, watercolor, oil, screen printing, drawing and engraving, and has taken part in many competitions and group exhibitions in Mexico and abroad.

His work comes from a deep exploration of the psyche and of how he reads the world around him. His pieces weave the surreal and the magical into elements of daily life, building a visual narrative that moves between metaphor, symbolism and fantasy: a language of his own, full of mystery and depth, where each image invites an inner dialogue.
