Rodrigo Locia
A printmaker with a degree in Arts from the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas. His practice treats printmaking as a means of visual research into the rituals, masks, dances and traditions of the state of Guerrero, setting up a dialogue between memory, territory and identity.
His training deepened at the Taller Central de Grabado, where he worked in woodcut, lithography, burin engraving, linocut, etching, aquatint and drypoint, building a visual language grounded in technical rigor and constant research into the expressive range of contemporary printmaking.
He has shown in solo and group exhibitions across Mexico, including Zacatecas, Mexico City, Oaxaca, Michoacán, Nayarit, Sonora, Baja California, the State of Mexico, Durango, Colima and Guerrero, and internationally in Cuba and France. His work is in the collection of Galería Travessa in Brazil.
