An enormous ceramic sphere by Eligio Zarate and Guadalupe Fabián — made to hold light, as a candleholder or lamp shade, its white-enameled surface studded with Eligio and Guadalupe's signature grid of raised circles. At this scale the piece has a planetary presence, hovering in any room with a gravity that is both physical and visual. Hand-formed in their workshop in Santa María Atzompa, Oaxaca, it is among the most ambitious expressions of their signature aesthetic.
