A sculptural collaboration between Diego Salazar and Alfonso Canseco Peligro — Manhattan as a ship, the island understood as a vessel moving through time rather than geography. Canseco Peligro's craft work in natural fibers gives the piece its physical form; Salazar's architectural imagination gives it its logic. The two artists met through the New York Titans project, and this piece belongs to the series of collaborations that grew from that encounter: works in which Salazar's conceptual framework is realized through the specific material intelligence of another artist. A singular and ambitious object.
