INQUIRE ABOUT THIS PIECE
A corazón de milagro — miracle heart — handmade in tin by Miguel Ángel Agüero Pacheco of Taller Hoja de Lata in Oaxaca City. Milagros are among the oldest forms of votive offering in Mexican folk religion: small metal charms left at altars to petition or give thanks for divine intervention. Miguel Ángel elevates this tradition through the mastery he has accumulated over sixty-five years of working tin, nickel, and copper. The result is an object that is simultaneously devotional artifact, folk art, and fine craft — finished in urethane paint, alive with intention.
